U7 Mesh: the new outdoor WiFi 7 access point from UniFi

Ubiquiti expands its UniFi lineup with the U7 Mesh, a compact WiFi 7 access point built to work both indoors and outdoors. With an IPX6 rating, a dual-antenna system, a 2.5 GbE PoE uplink and speeds of up to 4.3 Gbps, it's designed to extend high-performance coverage across large properties and open spaces.

Compact and rugged design

Ubiquiti unveiled this device on March 2, 2026 as a new compact WiFi 7 access point for indoor and outdoor use, priced at USD 199. It measures just 48.5 x 159.5 mm and carries IPX6 certification when installed with the included outdoor mounting kit, supporting wall, pole or desk installation.

High-end WiFi 7 performance

The access point delivers WiFi 7 with 4 spatial streams and 2x2 MIMO across the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands. The 5 GHz band reaches up to 4.3 Gbps with 240 MHz of bandwidth, while 2.4 GHz reaches 688 Mbps.

Connectivity and coverage

With a 2.5 GbE PoE uplink and support for over 200 simultaneous clients, the device covers about 140 square meters. Its dual-antenna system works as both a mesh link and a local access point, and includes MLO (Multi-Link Operation) readiness, a key WiFi 7 feature.

Ideal for mesh networks

The device uses a directional 5 GHz antenna for high-performance mesh backhaul and an omnidirectional antenna for client coverage. You optimize the signal by aligning the U logos on the devices toward each other, ideal for extending WiFi across large properties, gardens, warehouses and outdoor spaces.
